Sometimes, you wake up and realize that decades have passed without much happening.
You feel like time is not on our side – there is so much you want to accomplish.
I've always had a strong drive, constantly striving for more - I’m not the only one.
We always want more, it's like a never-ending craving that keeps us going.
It's like being on a quest for the next big thing.
But what about the current little things?
Amid my never-ending chase for success, I found myself feeling a bit weary and not as happy as I'd like.
One Monday afternoon, a close friend suggested a change, urging me to discover joy amid the busyness.
Together, we explored a nearby park, laughed so hard, and enjoyed my favorite food.
I ended up having one of my most productive week.
It hit me that happiness was like a special treasure, making the journey toward success more delightful.
From that moment forward, I decided to sprinkle a bit of happiness into my busy days, realizing that success shines even brighter when enjoying the little things.
Which we mostly seem to keep overlooking.
In our minds, we create a magical universe where one thing will bring us everlasting happiness - never turns out this way.
We reach the one thing, briefly appreciate it, then shift our focus to the next thing.
It’s like finally getting the phone upgrade you wanted.
Just as your enjoying it,
You attend a party where half of the people seem to have the latest upgrade, and constantly state how terrible the old version was.
Now, the search for the next thing is ignited in your mind – the circle continues.
We aim for growth, yet our excessive focus on progress sometimes stops us from appreciating the present moment.

So how do we start appreciating the little things and enjoy each moment as we travel through life?
The trick is in balancing the desire for more with an in-depth appreciation of the current moment.
Three tips that work for me:
Daily Gratitude!
What are you grateful for?
Throughout the course of the day, write down things that you are grateful for.
This could be your health, career, family, or the food you ate. I keep a gratitude journal – works best for me.
There are no specifics – don’t over think it.
This daily practice will make you appreciate the little things by noticing the beauty in each moment.
Use Taskade – an AI tool for journaling. It is easy to use and offers varieties of products that will elevate your journaling journey.
Tiny triumphs count!
Celebrate your small victories.
Be proud of your achievements – however small.
Don’t shadow your little progress waiting for the ultimate achievement.
Completing a small task or learning something new deserves a little pat on the back.
These mini wins add up and contribute to a sense of accomplishment.
Kill the comparisons!
I have a theory that helps me stay grounded and avoid comparisons.
Each time I notice the urge to compare myself in any way with someone else, I remind myself that there is enough room for everyone, then I shift the focus to myself.
Yes. There is room for you to grow and thrive even if your still figuring things out, falling short, unemployed, starting a business, or starting over.
Comparing your achievements with others kills the enjoyment of current wins.
All the little progress you’re making suddenly becomes invisible.
I truly hope that you feel empowered to appreciate the little things and end up enjoying each moment in your success journey.
